Got Senna?

After months of waiting, Senna finally opened in the U.S. this weekend. A film about Ayrton Senna's McLaren and Williams years in Formula 1, it has everything a good movie needs- cars, women and even a villain in the form of Senna's arch nemesis, Alain Prost. If you aren't a Formula 1 fan, you'll still enjoy the drama, thrilling racing and classic riches to riches story. If you think you'll have trouble getting your girlfriend to see it with you, keep in mind that mine now thinks Senna is "amazing" (a.k.a. thinks he is hot) and wants to watch more car racing. For me, that alone was worth the price of admission.

  1. Very cool, can't wait to watch it. It must be comforting to know that your girlfriend's got the hots for a dead man!!

  2. What?! Alain Prost as the villain? Ayrton is charismatic, but le petit Prost is a well-respected legend. Who produced the movie?

(Mark, does the movie get ALL women hot? I want to make sure I know what to expect)

  5. It's all that hard driving that seems to do the trick, Christo.

"The Professor" is the villain in the sense that his talents sprung much controversy for Ayrton throughout his F1 career. I completely agree that his approach to racing and resulting success places him within the top 3 racing drivers of all time, if not higher.

  6. Just watched the movie this weekend and all I can say is that it really moved me. Senna was much bigger than racing and operated on a totally different level spiritually. It was crushing to watch the ending. The documentary is very well put together and worth watching just for the cinematography and all the suspense it manages to create.
