Porsche Charges What for Wheel Accessories?!

To put it in perspective, if you bought an $82k cake from Porsche, they would give you a "free" black and white Porsche logo. But if you wanted color on the cake, that would be at least a grand for this size logo:

And I looked carefully at the pictures but I don't think the $490 5-mm spacers are made out of carbon fiber. For this price, I'd expect at least titanium, wouldn't you agree? I have to admit they look very shiny and pretty, though!

  1. I bought a Porsche Alcantara ebrake handle and shift knob/boot shortly getting Inky in 2007. About 6 months later they more than doubled in price. Seems Alcantaras are now on the endangered list.........poor litthe guys.

  4. I don't know the last time you visited Zuffenhausen, but it's kind of a dump. They need that money to spiff it up. (Seriously, back in 2005 when I stopped by, it was a pretty bleak area).

  5. It must be my perspective first thing in the morning, but at a very quick first glance I thought that was a Porsche Woopie cushion

  6. It does look like a whoopee cushion, LOL!

EJ, I had to go look up Zuffenhausen to figure out what it is. Great idea btw - we should charge for color logos on American cars too to pay for the federal deficit!

  7. Porsche is everyone's dream brand as far as an automobile is concerned and buying a Porsche genuine accessory itself is very difficult nowadays. There are companies that sell reliable Porsche factory original-look products including the Porsche pedals, the central console, unique styled door handles found in Porsche cars and of course most importantly the Porsche wheels.
