The Dark $ecrets of Pro Racing

This article is a "must-read" for anyone thinking about becoming a pro driver. The hard, cold reality is that a lot of highly talented drivers go without rides while mediocre drivers get the big rides because they can bring money to the table. By the author's estimate, "...approximately 45% of the professional drivers in GRAND-AM’s Rolex series, 55% of the Continental series, and 55% of the SCCA’s World Challenge series are paying to race." Pay drivers can be found at all levels of pro-racing: from entry-level to Formula 1.
